

Harford County resident and 97 year old WWII Veteran Felix Andrews (shortened from the Polish Andrzejewski) enlisted in the Army, later joining the Merchant Marines where he served in the Pacific on board the liberty ship U.S.S. John W. Brown. One of Mr. Andrews fondest memories was seeing his brother and his friends who served and are no longer with us. When asked about Memorial Day, Mr. Andrews feels "pride and honor for those that died for our freedom fighting in the war. I am proud to be an American and love my country, the good ol' United States of America!" Following the war, Mr. Andrews worked for many years at Sparrows Point, Baltimore, MD. On March 16, 2021 Felix passed away at Forest Hill Health and Rehab. He is the beloved husband of the late Marie Theresa Andrews; cherished father of the late Elizabeth "Betty" Marie and Leonard Weber, Sr.; dear brother of the late Leonard, John, Christine and Elenora. loving grandfather of Leonard Weber, Jr., Lynn Weber-Zablocki and Lisa Frances Weber. He is survived by his nieces and nephews Marion Nesbitt (Roy), Phyllis Grover (Greg), Eileen Moore (Robert), Marie Pugh (Ray), Buddy Andrzejewski (Arlene), and Tom Giordano (Lynn). Also survived by numerous great-nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air on Saturday from 10-12 noon, where a funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Interment Holly Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association, 2002 Clipper Park Drive Baltimore, MD 21239.
