Franklin Joseph Barnes, of Bel Air, MD, January 27th, 2020. He was born in Baltimore, MD on March 18, 1929. He enlisted in the Army in 1948 and served his Country in the Korean War 1950-1951. Upon Honorable Discharge he began his career at Baltimore Gas & Electric and retired after 37 years of service.
Beloved husband of Gloria E. Barnes (née Welsh) for 68 years. Devoted Father of Duane Phillip (deceased) and his wife Nancy; Craig Francis and his wife Cindy; Celeste Marie and her husband Mark; Douglas Anthony and his wife Frances; Renee Cecelia and her husband Thomas.
Loving Grandfather of Michael, Daniel, Brandon, Jordan, Samantha, Tommy, Jill and Nick.
Cherished Great Grandfather of Lucas, Mason, Madeline and Caroline.
All are welcome to join the family at Schimunek Funeral Home, 610 W. MacPhail Road, Bel Air, MD on Saturday, February 1st from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Reception from 2:00-4:00 followed by Veteran’s Honors and a brief Memorial Service.
