On November 16, 2014, Fredrick “Fred” Marion Waara, 78, of Bel Air succumbed to lung cancer. He was born July 15, 1936 in Boise, Idaho to his parents Beulah and Arne Waara. Fred graduated from Purdue University in 1958, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Fred was preceded in death by his parents and his lifetime companion, Alice Lewis. He is survived by his step-daughter, Jennifer VonCanon and grandson, Matthew Mancino. Fred was an active member of the Boumi Shrine Temple.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Road (at Rte 24) on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm where a funeral service held on Wednesday at 10 am with interment to follow at Highview Memorial Gardens.
