On November 9, 2023, Gertrude “Trudy” Teesdale (nee Russell) passed away. She was the devoted mother of Daniel Teesdale, his wife April, Mark Teesdale, his husband Alan Petticrew, Dawn Battaglia; loving grandmother of Daniel Teesdale Jr., his wife Kayla, Matthew Teesdale, his wife Eva, Luke Teesdale, Nicole Battaglia, her husband Bence Nagy, Taylor Battaglia, Megan Battaglia, Matthew Battaglia; cherished great grandmother of Faye, Audrey, Logan; dear sister of the late Patricia McCreery.
Trudy had a strong faith and love of the Lord. She enjoyed staying active by line dancing, doing aerobics, and singing. Trudy sang with the Bel Air Community Chorus and in a small group that entertained at nursing homes and assisted livings. She always looked for ways to help others. Trudy’s greatest joy was being with her children, grand children, and great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 610 W. Macphail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014, on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held at Saint Edmond Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Ave., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971, on Monday November 20, 2023 at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Gertrude’s name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741, or www.cancer.org.
