Herbert Edwin Poole

Herbert Edwin Poole lost his nearly one year battle with cancer on April 28, 2022 at the age of 76. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce, his son Robert and his sister Aileen Marie. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the only son and youngest child of Robert Burton Poole and Nellie Rae (nee Martin). Herb is survived by his daughter Karen (Craig) Sterner; grandchildren Robyne (Patrick) Owens, Mitchell Sterner and Reid Sterner; and sister Lilian McNulty. Herb was also a very proud Grandpoppy to his two great grandsons, Wyatt and Walker Owens, as well as a loving PopPopPop to his great-granddaughter, Coralyn Sterner.

Herb’s family would like to extend gratitude to Gilchrist Hospice and the staff at the Senator Bob Hooper Hospice House for their compassion and loving care during his final days.

Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Herbert on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Schimunek Funeral Home, 610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014.
