December 27, 1994 – July 3, 2012
Jack was the son of Rocky and Joyce Levee, brother of Audra Leigh Cox and her husband Tom, Allison Lyn Levee, Abigail Lauren Levee, grandson to Audrey Spitzer and the late Earl Spitzer, the late Leroy J. Levee and Alice Levee, nephew to Bonnie and Wayne Edwards, Terry and Donna Levee , Ron and Stacey Levee and Alice and Squeak Edwards, cousin to Megan and Chelsea Edwards, Terry and Tia Levee, Jeremy and Breanna Levee, Jay and his wife Brei Edwards, David and Tiffany Edwards and uncle to Kaiden and Elizabeth Cox. Jack's brothers in life were Jon Sipe and Aaron Kates.
Jack finished his Junior year at Calvert Hall College in June. He was an accomplished epee fencer with a signature jump move that was known by all he fenced. His energy levels were unparalleled, as was his quick wit and infectious smile. Jack enjoyed music, video gaming , card playing, reading comics, playing the guitar and hanging out with his friends. Jack really enjoyed cooking steak and seafood for family and friends. He was planning on attending Johnson and Wales College in Rhode Island and often spoke of operating his own Steak Restaurant in the future. This summer, Jack was working at the Waffle House in Hickory as a greeter and was to start training as a cook the week he died.
It was Jack's wish to be an organ donor (he put it on his precious license) and on July 4th Jack became a hero to several other families with the many organs he was able to donate. In life he was our hero and with his passing he has become the hero of many. We also feel Jack will live on not just in us but now he is changing the life of people posthumously.
One of Jack's favorite heroes was Optimus Prime. He is depicted as a brave, powerful, wise and compassionate leader who put his talent to use improving the universe around him. Optimus is portrayed as having a strong sense of justice and righteousness and has dedicated himself to the protection of all life, particularly the inhabitants of Earth. (Wikipedia, 2012)
Jack was "my son, my moon, my stars", my life will never be the same.
Jack was loved deeply by his family and friend as witnessed by the outpouring of the community. We wish to thank the St. Margaret community, Calvert Hall College High School community and The John Carroll High School community, for their loving efforts and prayers and all our friends and family.
Our family would like to extend our special thanks to Dr. M. Paul Lomonico and his wife Cindy. Jack loved and respected them both and they went through this by our side, words could never express our gratitude. We also want thank family, friends and people we have met for their support it was over whelming and much needed. Another special thanks to Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, Upper Chesapeake ER doctors and nurses (thank you for air lifting him so fast) and the exceptional doctors and nurses at the University of Maryland, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date through social media.
