James Joseph Hogan Jr.

July 19, 1953April 24, 2021

On April 24, 2021 James J. Hogan Jr. passed away at home with his family. He is the beloved husband of Regina Hogan (nee Kaisler); loving brother of Kathryn Hrycej and her husband Theodore, and the late Virginia Lee Etzel and her surviving husband Michael; dear son-in-law of Dolores H. Kaisler; brother-in-law of Stephen and Chryl Kaisler, Francis Kaisler, Angela and Michael Pennington, Patrick and Carol Kaisler, Michael and Suzanne Kaisler, Joseph and Stephanie Kaisler, and Brian and Shannon Kaisler; uncle of Michelle Semanoff, Nicole Sussan, Matthew and Rosemary Pennington, Rebecca Williams, John, Adam, Christina, and Jenny Kaisler; also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

Jim had a love of music. His favorite group was the Beatles. He owned every CD and book written about the group and enjoyed sharing little known anecdotes about the group from his readings. Jim taught himself to play guitar and later keyboards. He mostly played music with his friends, but was part of a band in the early 90’s for a brief period. He started a DJ business with his close friend Rick. They worked weddings and other celebrations around the state. In the last few years he mainly played and created music for his own enjoyment. Relatives and friends may gather at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc. 610 W. MacPhail Rd. Bel Air, MD 21014 on Friday from 12 to 1 PM where the funeral service will begin at 1 PM. Interment Parkwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Co. 2201 Carrs Mill Rd. Fallston, MD 21047.
