James Joseph Pohlner, 72, of Bel Air, MD died on September 20, 2021. Jim had four children, Michelle, Eric, Meghan, and Ryan, for whom he strove to have them enjoy a life more prosperous than his own. His greatest pride and happiness came from seeing each of them succeed in their own lives and careers.
Jim placed great importance on maintaining a strong work ethic, which he combined with a lifelong passion for tools. He rose through the ranks during his thirty-four year career at W. W. Grainger before “retiring” to work for Makita, Pitt Power, and finally Home Depot.
In addition to his children, Jim is survived by his grandson Austin, his brother Carl, and his sister Maureen. Jim is preceded in death by his wife Darlene, who he never stopped loving even nineteen years after her passing.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air on Saturday from 1-4 pm.
