Joan Tyler (Zimmerman) Heffler

Joan Tyler Heffler (née Zimmerman), age 82, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Beloved daughter of the late Kenneth R. Zimmerman, Sr., and the late Mary Virginia Zimmerman (née Ricketts); devoted mother of Theresa Stine and her husband Ronald, Donald Lee Heffler, Jr, Tracy Young and her husband Kenneth, Christopher Heffler,Sr. and his wife Lena, and the late Stephen Heffler; loving grandmother Stephanie, Natalie, Ron Jr., Joshua, Nicholas, Justin, Anthony, Jessica, Megan, Lindsay, Chris Jr., Samantha, Trevor, Devin, and Lily; cherished great grandmother of many great children; dear sister of Donna J. Mundy and her late husband Oscar, Kathy A. Welsh and her husband Thomas, Mary Ellen Menchey, Steven Gary Zimmerman and his wife Brenda, and the late Kenneth R. Zimmerman, Jr. “Bob”. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and her two cats Rae-Rae, and Peggy.

A visitation for Joan will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc. 610 W. MacPhail Road Bel Air, MD 21014 at which time a Prayer Service will begin at 7 PM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Joan’s memory to American Cancer Association.
