On December 17, 2018 Joseph A. DiGuardo, Sr. beloved husband of Anna Marie DiGuardo (nee Rausch); devoted father of Maria DiGuardo, and Rear Admiral Joseph A. DiGuardo, Jr. and his wife Christine; loving grandfather of Olivia, Maggie, and Lucy DiGuardo; dear cousin of Dominic Cottone and his wife Kathie, Joseph Cottone and his wife Ann, and Robert Warr, Jr. and his wife Kate; brother-in-law of Cathy Salamone, Bill Rausch and his wife Joni, Mary Jackson, and Ken Cunzeman, Sr.
Many will remember working with Joe and his rise from Key Punch operator to Senior, Executive Vice President at Mercantile Bank Shares Corp, while H. Furlong Baldwin was Chairman and CEO prior to it being acquired by PNC Bank.
Joe made many remarkable contributions & advancements to information Technology in the Banking & Financial Services Industry, including pioneering stand alone ATM's. Joe's charisma, caring nature and wit will be sorely missed by all.
The family will receive friends at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc. 610 W. MacPhail Rd. Bel Air, MD 21014 on Saturday January 5, 2019 3-5 and 7-9 PM where a Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 PM.
