Barbara and family, I just heard the sad news. I'm remembering the fun times working with Larry at Dean Witter. He loved connecting with people and serving others through Harvest for the Hungry. His legacy lives on...even as he finally gets his days of rest. Thinking of all of you...

I met Larry when we both served on the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland Board of Directors.  I want his family to know how much his work to feed the hungry is valued.  The Girl Scouts benefit from the Harvest for the Hungry program that he was responsible for.  I'm sorry for your loss.  I know he will be missed.  But his legacy will live on.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Adam Family.  When I think of Larry -I think of his charitable work with Harvest for the Hungary and Sharing is Caring.  Larry was a blessing to us all - showing each of us how to think of others before ourselves.  He will surely be missed, but his legacy will live on.

I am  sorry to hear about your loss, my sympathy goes out to the Adam family.  I was fortunate to Know Mr. Adam, as he always found it fun to give me a hard time, and to make sure i was always staying out of trouble growing up.  Big Lar (thats what i called him) you will be missed.

Just few days ago, we had the pleasure of meeting you during the Andrus Award ceremony, an award well deserve for Larry's long term commitment and dedication to help so many needed people and always remaining anonymous.   We had the honor to be one of many of his volunteers that share his cause, ‘hunger takes no holiday'; we will miss him dearly.

There are no words that would change the past; our condolences to you and the whole family.  We will pray for him, and his family.  We know he is in a better place, in peace and looking over all of us.

In a way, we became a part of his family; we would certainly like to see the flag of Harvest for the Hungry, his 27 years life mission, flying higher and stronger than ever.  Our commitment to carrying that flag remains higher and stronger than ever as well.

We admired you Larry; thanks for the opportunity to cross our paths.

We are thankful that we had the opportunity to honor Larry on Monday, September 23 with the AARP Andrus Award for Community Service, the highest award given to a volunteer in the State, for his many years of dedication and enthusiasm in the cause of feeding the hungry in Maryland.  He reminded us that "hunger takes no holiday".  May the family and friends take comfort in knowing that he will be long remembered in our hearts and he will continue to be an inspiration to us all.
