Lawrence Raymond Norwood Jr.

On April 16, 2023 Larry R. Norwood, Jr. passed away. He was the beloved son of the late Mary Norwood and Larry R. Norwood, Sr.; devoted brother of Kathleen Wallace and her husband Fran; Matthew Norwood and his wife Mary Beth; and Colleen Tackett and her husband Michael; cherished uncle of Thomas Wallace (Jessica), Katie Walter (Dustin), Amanda Elizabeth Lefkowitz (Scott), Anthony Tackett (Kellie), Shannon Norwood and Jessica Norwood; loving great-uncle of Peyton, McKenzie, Landon, Lucas, Kaleb, Karli, Taylor, and Nova; devoted godfather of Richard H. Norwood, Jr., Katie Walter and Anthony Tackett.

Larry loved all things sports, especially Baltimore sports attending many Orioles, Colts and Ravens games at Memorial Stadium, Camden Yards and M&T Bank Stadium. Larry was voted the Baltimore Ravens 2001 NFL Visa Fan of the Year, and with that award, he was inducted into the Visa Hall of Fans in Canton, OH and won an all-expense paid trip for two to Super Bowl XXXV. Larry and his brother Matthew experienced this once in a lifetime trip together and watched as the Ravens won their first Super Bowl beating the New York Giants. He also attended Super Bowl XXVII and XXVIII. Larry loved the time spent with his family, the holiday gatherings with extended family were some of his favorites where good times were always had and long-lasting wonderful memories were always made.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Rd. Bel Air, MD 21014 on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 2-5 PM. Interment private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Larry's name to the American Heart Association.
