I am very sad to hear of Lisa's passing.   Lisa worked for me for a while at Cardinal Tavern in Canton. She was very loved by our customers, and they continued to ask for her after she had left.   She did things to the fullest including her friendships.  Her and I got very close and she was an absolute blast.  We went and got botox together one time and she was so mad that I was telling people where we went. LOL. She was like "quit tellin people! I want everyone to think I just look like this" haha.  She also surprised me on my birthday with a GIANT bag of "cozy things" which she knew I was a big fan of.  She was always texting me with crazy ideas. I loved that about her.  I have a few videos of her singing behind the bar BEAUTIFULLY that I have been looking high and low for.   I know she loved her family and her cats more than anything.   Everyone that met her loved her.  Plenty of proof on this page alone. She made an impression wherever she went with whoever she met.  She will be very dearly missed.  RIP LISA <3

My dearest, beautiful & sweet Lil Lisa, I love you so much. I can't believe our time is up. I will forever remember the gym, OC, El Rodeo, your beautiful house with your handsome cats (lol), salsa dancing, the massages, fisherman's catch,... You name it, I'll always remember them! You could brighten up a room by just entering it. You were idolized by many. You will be cherished forever. I promise I'll check in on your family from time to time. 

Mine and Lisa's relationship didn't start out the best...however we made our amends and became extremely close. She is the best friend, the smartest, most beautiful woman I have ever known. The fact that she had to leave us so soon, breaks my heart. I will always remember our late night conversations and her thanking me for checking on her when I knew she was having a rough time (she always thanked me...she was very polite) I wish I knew that the last time we talked and saw each other...would be the last time forever 😞 I will miss u forever 💔 I love you Lisa with all my ❤️

My sweetheart Lis.  Where do I begin.    A friend that was a TRUE friend for me.   You backed me up at Martin Marietta when no one else would.  You even past down a promotion because you took up for me.  You know what I am  talking about.   Now that is a TRUE friend.  I cherished you eating crabs at my sons house while I was babysitting.  The entire time you made me laugh. I’ll never forget the time we went to lunch and I got pulled over by the cops because I threw a cigarette butt out the window. I’ve never seen you laugh so hard about that !  I’m like Lis why are you laughing???  It’s not funny.  And you just continued to laugh. I cherish our subway lunches with coupons you saved for us.  Oh Lis I could go on and on.  You were my daughter I wish I would have had.  Baby your mind was hurting more than I ever realized.   I wish we would have never lost touch.  Your now an Angel back in Heaven.  You went back home sooner than we thought.  The Heavens need you.  You had enough on this Earth.  God was ready for you sooner than we expected because he needed you back to help guide the Angels in Heaven.  Until I can hold you again......just welcome me at the Gates.   I’ll be truly Blessed. I didnt know know lisa very long but we first made eye contact at 7 11 I knew there was something special about this beautiful young woman.    I bought my 2 monsters just like I always do and when I paid her for them I was nothing but smiles.  She was such a gorgeous young woman and realized it was very easy for her to make anyone smile.   From than on I went there just to talk and smile with her.  I will definitely miss her.    


There was so little space so.... Rest Easy Lisa, until we meet again! Watch over us all! I know you are now at peace and nothing can hurt you anymore!!!

Oh My Lil Lisa, where should I begin?! I met Lisa in 2003 and I don't remember where I just know it was through mutual friends. We clicked instantly. For like 2 years we were together almost every weekend. We became very close! Lisa was trustworthy and dependable and a great friend. I had my son and had momma duties to take care of so over the years we haven't seen each other as much as I would have liked but we still talked. I adore Lisa! She is such a intelligent and beautiful and talented person. She is a  very sweet and loving spirit, full of light. She is a ball of fun and laughter. No matter what mood Lisa is in she is smiling. Her smile could light up a room! I will always remember her and will hold all of the memories that we created very dear and close to my heart. When her and I met, camera phones weren't around like that yet and we don't have many photographic memories of those times but I surely have them in my mind. I did see her recently though and we did take a few pics and I will always treasure those now! I will always remember that Lisa always wanted me to teach her how to put on liquid eyeliner because mine was always so "flawless" (yeah right) and when she did it she almost blinded herself haha. I never got that chance and it makes me so sad now. I will also remember forever in my heart the night that a group of us were hanging out and stayed the night at her moms house and when I woke up Lisa was playing the piano early as hell in the morning and she sounded like Beethoven. I was like whoa Lisa you are full of talents! I always admired her dedication and determination! She was so excited that she bought a house and I went to visit her to see and I was so happy for her!!! We have lost a great soul but we have gained a beautiful angel. Lisa's birthday is 11/11 and that is an Angel number<3

I send my deepest and kindest condolences to her mom and family as I cannot imagine the pain from such a sudden loss. I'm sending all the hugs I can!! 


Dear Lisa,
From the moment I met you, on the day you interviewed at MM, I knew in my heart that "You were a Keeper".
Smart as a whip, funny, reliable, dependable with a blazing personality inherent to helping others.  Absolutely perfect for Customer Service.  You brightened everyone of my work days.  I'll never forget trying our best to pronounce Gyeonggi-do.  Although, we practiced it at least on a weekly basis, it never ceased to be hysterical.  How we giggled through the tears.  Laughed until we cried.

And then there was bowling....  We were not the greatest, but boy did we have tons of fun.  Remember we made up "Lane Names", based on our first and last initials.  You designated me Los Angeles and I deemed you Little Space.
Only you, White House and Mountain King would remember this... We would decorate Mountain King's shirt with the little Hallmark crowns, whenever he got a strike or spare.  Again, we laughed until we cried.

Before signing off, I want to thank you for the great gift of introducing me to your beautiful mother.  She instantly became a dear friend and I will help you watch over her.  It is no surprise, no wonder, no question as to why you were such a beautiful soul.

So Little Space, I just wanted to let you know how very much I love you.  Goodnight little angel, I will see you again.

My precious angel, where do I begin, so many beautiful memories. When you were little you were "Peanut" for about a year, everyone called you Peanut. Your piano recitals that you never gave up on. Our Ocean city trips were so special just "you n me," time. You and Greg presenting your plays and involving the cats.
Your college graduation and home purchase all in the same day unforgettable. I love you forever and no time will ever be the same. The pain may lessen but your beautiful smile and personality never will. Angels take care of my beautiful girl. If only is something I try not to say anymore. You will always be my sunshine. I will see you baby girl save a place for mom.

I had the honor, privileged, and blessed in knowing Lisa Schafer. I first met Lisa in September, 2013 while she was working at El Rodeo, and from that day her and I built a great and loving friendship. I still remember that day like it was yesterday. I came in sat in the corner in El Rodeo, and she introduced herself by saying: “hello I’m Lisa, I’ve never seen your face before”.  Of course, I responded with one of my water down witticism: “because I’ve never shown it”. Lisa smiled (such a beautiful smile), and replied by saying “okay”, and walked away to tend to her other guests. You would think that will be the end of the story, but to my surprise it was not. Lisa came back, and started a conversation with me. Naturally, I wasn’t in the mood to talk that particular day, but that didn’t stop Lisa. Lisa was determined to get to know me a little better, and throughout the conversation she asked me poignant questions about my life. Logically, being a good sport I returned the favor. Needless to say what I expected to be a quick conversation turned into two and half hours’ dialogue about everything. The conversation was so in depth and personal that I remember looking towards her regular guests, and seeing them annoyed that Lisa was spending so much time talking to the “new guy”.  The funny part of the story is that Lisa became annoyed with her regular guests, tended to their needs, and came back to my corner to finish the conversation. 

Lisa, and I became real close friends. The conversations continued, the mutual Love and respect we had for one another grew. Lisa had such a beautiful soul. Lisa Loved her mother and brother. She loved her cats Bubba and Tyrone. Lisa volunteered her time to serve the homeless at shelters, and when able Lisa helped her friends. One of the most beautiful person I will ever know in my life.


I was very lucky to have known Lisa for over 20 years. I was always so proud of Lisa. She was a very focused, determined,  educated, hard working girl. She went to work everyday but never gave up on her dreams of being a singer which was inspiring.
Funniest memory by far is from sophomore year of highschool. I was in Spanish class taking a test when the principal walked in and asked for me to step into the hallway. Before we did he said my cousin had an emergency and was here to pick me up. I stepped in the hallway and Lisa jumped up and gave me a big hug (she had talked her mom in to driving her across town, walking into my school and telling the front office they needed me) to which the principal looked at me and said "some cousin". I just said we are close and shrugged my shoulders.  I went to Calvert hall so to say the principal wasn't happy is an understatement. But, it was an awesome surprise. And ended up getting me out of the Spanish test. Definitely a day I will never forget.
When Lisa would walk into a room, she always made an entrance. I'm sure she is doing the same thing now in heaven.
