On October 19, 2026, Mabel E. Chapin (nee Mumenthaler) passed away peacefully. She was the beloved wife of the late Eitel D. “Ed” Chapin; devoted mother of the late John Chapin, his late wife Monica, Jean Eelman, her late husband Bruce, James Chapin, wife Denise, Joyce Melchior, husband Tim; loving grandmother of Dawn Playford, husband Keith, Scott Eelman, wife Lori, Anthony Eelman, wife Courtney, Mandi Eelman, Matthew Chapin, Andrew Chapin, Rachel Chapin, John Melchior, wife Kristen, and Eric Melchior; cherished great grandmother of ten great grandchildren; dear sister of Frederick Mumenthaler Jr., and the late Anna Welser, Virginia Wright, Edith Weingard, and Roberta Harper.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather in the mausoleum of the Bell Tower at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Amber, PA 19002, on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 12:30 PM.
