I met Marva at the Community Action Agency a few years ago. We became co-worker friends immediately. She loved her family dearly. I was blessed to have known her. Rest in Peace my friend.

My heart is so heavy! No matter how much time passed between the times that we spoke, we picked up exactly where we left off. We met by chance almost 18 years ago and have been hanging strong ever since. I am glad that we had a chance to enjoy a meal together recently and really catch up. To her heart, her family, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Marva was silly, she was a joy to be around and through thick and thin she was my girl. You will be sorely missed MJ. Rest in Grace!

Marva was a warm woman who loved Jesus, her family, and her church family. We'll miss her smile and fellowship for the short while until we see her again in the throne room of God...dancing and singing!

"For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands."

I am saddened to hear of the passing of my friend Marva. We worked together for many years at Baltimore City Public Schools. Even after she retired, from time-to-time, we would have long talks. We had not talked for a couple months. However, in our conversations she talked about how proud she was of her daughter, Sunni and son-in-L͏a͏w. She adored her grandchildren and loved her sister and nephew. I will miss our conversations and her as a friend. Rest in Heavenly Peace, Marva.

Marva and I have been through so many things together, but we always made it. When I was very sick, she was there. She took care of me, helped me through my roughest times. I used to tease her about having mommy legs, and what happened to mine. Marva was awesome. But now she is at peace with our parents, celebrating that they are all together watching all of us. Marva I love you. I miss you. No matter what, I have always needed you. Forever you will be in my heart.

We wish to express our deepest condolences to the family of such an amazing woman of God. We were blessed to fellowship with Marva at Helping Hands Ministries. Marva was so instrumental in assisting the community through Community Action with the Energy Assistance Program. She had such a compassion to help others. Her caring and calm demeanor will always be remembered.

May the peace of God be with your family and may knowing that she is in the presence of our Savior and Lord Jesus give you hope that you will see her again.

We are so sad to hear of the passing of Ms. Marva, yet we rejoice that she is with the Lord now able to breath without issues and relieved of any pain. It was always such a joy to pick her up on Sundays for service and take her back home, when we are attending Connecting Church. She would share so much about her family and how proud she was of her son-in- law, her daughter and the joy her grandchildren brought her. She will be greatly missed. 💗💐
