Melvin Chester Jonczak, age 100, of Abingdon, Maryland passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Irene Jonczak; devoted father of Melvin J. Jonczak and his wife Virginia, Francis Jonczak and his late wife Jane, and Karen Jonczak Nally and her husband Robert; loving grandfather of Christopher Jonczak, Amanda Palmer, Kathleen Anderson, Robert Jonczak, David Jonczak, and Michael Jonczak; cherished great grandfather of Helena, Olivia, Eli, Sophia and Matthew. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
A visitation for Melvin will be held at Schimunek Funeral Home, 610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014 on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 2 -4 pm and 6- 8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, 141 N. Hickory Ave, Bel Air, MD 21014.
Interment will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, 6615 Boston St, Baltimore, MD 21224.
