On January 23, 2016, Michael Edward Barnes, beloved husband of Jean M. Barnes (nee Carbone); devoted father of Amy Barnes, and Kristen Hammett and her husband Russell; dear brother of Jane Shaffer and her husband Michael, Jim Barnes and his wife Paula, Tim Barnes and his wife Ann, and Kenny Barnes; Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Elbert Barnes, his mother Betty Jane Barnes, his sister Carolyn Bucannon, and his brother Ricky Barnes. Mike was an avid fisherman, crabber, a skillful handyman, a kind soul and an all around wonderful friend.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, 610 W. MacPhail Road, Bel Air, on Saturday from 11-12 noon, where a funeral service will be held at 12 noon.
