My thoughts and prayers go out to Mike's loved ones. I worked in the same building with Mike at Kennedy Krieger for many years. He was always quick with a "Hello" or to ask how work was going. I will never forget one summer when a freak windy rain storm came through for a few minutes in the middle of the day. Once the sun came out, Mike and I saw that a tree had fallen on our cars! Of all the cars in the parking lot, leave it to us to be the only two who had to deal with that! All we could do was shake our heads and laugh as we were outside taking photos and then comparing insurance estimates.

I have missed seeing Mike around the office. I will always think of him when a storm passes through while I am at work. Mike, I'd like to think it's your way of saying hi....I hope you are at peace...

First we want to say we are sorry for the loss of your Dad. Losing someone is bad enough but losing them suddenly is horrible. It leaves you with so many questions and heartache. We really feel for Brandi, her sisters and the entire family.

Our memory is Halloween 2016. We had dinner at Michael's house (his famous beef stew) ---and boy was it delicious. Brandi later explained that it was their Halloween tradition and her Dad would make it every year before they went trick or treating. That was a fun night. I really liked the way he went out of his way to make sure all the kids had lots of candies and you could just see it really made him happy to do these things.

Another memory was visiting Brandi, Scott at the hospital right after Jacob was born. I remember asking your Dad if he wanted to hold Jacob and he said, "Not yet I have to get my nerve up". He was worried because Jacob was so tiny. I remember laughing with him saying he wouldn't break him. He brought Brandi this beautiful flower arrangement and was just so happy to see his daughter and new grandson. You could tell he was very proud and that he loved them very much.

He seemed like a really quiet but great guy. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I hope God will hold you all in his arms as you go through this difficult time.

Rest in peace Michael.

Maria and I happened to see Mike at Dempsey’s Restaurant a few years back for Brooks Robinson Statue unveiling.
I Had a friend there that could get us in before the gates opened and we ran to the top bar to get the best spot for the induction ceremony. Mike was so excited that we could do that and We were both acting like we were 12 again, as we were seeing our childhood idol get enshrined forever as they unveiled his statue. Rest In Peace my friend.
