My Pappy has played such a large role in my life from the time I was born until now. So many childhood memories of playing putt-putt, reading Dr. Seuss books, teaching me how to play pool, watching Jeopardy at night, you name it. Every time I would begin to pack my things and leave their house he would always tell me "Don't forget where we live." And with that I would respond "I'll never forget where you are, Pappy." Watching both he and my Grammy wave from the front door as I drove away always reminded me how special I was to have such thoughtful and selfless grandparents in my life. His love and faith for the Lord was so passionate and heartfelt; always reciting his prayers during holidays and family dinners for all to follow. We miss you so very much Pappy. You have touched so many of our hearts on earth and now in spirit. Love you, Pappy.

The one thing that stands out the most when thinking back at all the memories was his love for Jesus. It was reflective in his words, actions, home, family, etc... What a wonderful role model he was to those around him. He would frequently share his faith in Christ to those he encountered, whether he knew you or not. He was committed to his wife Mary, who he was faithfully married to for 60+ years, his children, grandchildren and even great-grandchildren who all looked up to him. He left behind a legacy of strong faith and love for Jesus and others, which when it comes down to it, is what matters most (Matthew 22:37-39). The world was a better place with him in it. Our loss, and heavens gain! Pappy you will be greatly missed!

The best thing that I can share about Uncle Raymond is he will best be remembered for his faith and love in Jesus Christ and he lived a life that reflected both. I pray the same can be said of me one day.
