My deepest sympathy to Bob's family. I am extremely saddened to hear this news. I met Bob through the real estate industry. He was an outstanding business partner that quickly became a very good friend. After our business partnership dealings were through, he always kept in touch. He was always there to listen, care and offer advice on whatever may be happening in your life. I'm thankful that I had the opportunity to go to an O's game with him 2 years ago. As a Red Sox fan having never been to Camden Yards, Bob made sure to show me and a few friends a great time at the game. It started with Bob buying me an O's hat and making sure I wore it at the game. I still have the hat and will wear it with honor. Bob, I will greatly miss the many laughs that we have shared over the last 5 years. You were a one of kind person that will be deeply missed. Take care my friend until we meet again. Deepest sympathy from all Bob's friends here in Scotland. I first met Bob when he came north from Chicksands in 1986 to stay with me on a hunting trip, he became my friend, then very soon part of my family.He witnessed my two young sons grow up to young men. When they met their future wives, Bob insisted on vetting them first, he was family,after meeting my oldest sons future wife he declared she was as pretty as a speckled pup under a red truck. only Bob Steele could say that. I have countless memories of crouching in a muddy creek on the Solway estuary waiting for wild geese to come, standing on a peg with him on a driven pheasant day, sharing a duck blind with him,or just chilling out drinking beer and putting the world to right.Rest in peace my old friend I will miss you.

I have the fondest memories of Bob at RAF Chicksands. Bob was always organizing a unit event and had true community spirit. Who could forget him with the donut cart? I can still hear his syrupy southern drawl. Saw Bob on TV a few years back participating in a story on real estate legislation on the news. A thrill to see him again. So very sorry to you Becki - your Dad was too young. He will always be remembered.

Chuck and I fondly remember camping with Bob in Italy where we all were stationed in San Vito in late 1970's. Our prayers are with his family.

I didn't know him, but he served at RAF Chicksands, and thus is my brother - what years was he there?  Anyways, rest in peace brother, and thanks for your service to our country!

So sorry for your loss. Bob was a great mentor and friend of mine from RAF Chicksands. He taught me skeet and we spent many days both shooting skeet and hunting trips around the base and a great trip to Scotland. Bob was a great friend and I recall giving him a  bottle of Drambui as a parting gift as he gave me his pocket  knife, which I still have. Great memories from 84-86 at Chicksands. Rest in peace my friend.

Bob, I don't even know what to say. You were such a contradictions in characters! You were the kindest, funniest, stubbornest, most generous, big hearted loving "tough guy" I have ever had the pleasure of knowing! And to top it off you gave our family the greatest gift one could ever give, your daughter! Paula and I are sorry for your loss.  We first met Bob when we were stationed together in San Vito, Italy in the late 70s and our paths crossed several times over the years.  Bob and I shared those Tennessee roots and he was a great friend.  We are sorry for your loss.

Bob was such a great guy and a Pioneer in REO...he was always helpful, and someone I admired and looked up to since I've been in real estate. He showed up to our REO roundtable back in September and dropped knowledge like he always did. I was so honored just to have him there. He will be missed...RIP Buddy

Bob was one great guy... He was a huge success in the Real Estate World and an even bigger success with relationships to those of us who knew him... I'm very sorry for your loss.  I just saw my old friend a couple years ago at an Air Force reunion and was looking forward to the next one we could both attend.  Bob was a one of a kind person.  He'd do anything for anybody and he could always make us laugh.  He had a quick wit and always had a mischievous twinkle in his eye.  I'm shocked and sad that he is gone but I find comfort in knowing that he is home with our Lord and most likely cracking the angels up right now with some of his war stories.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.
