Rosario “Saro” DiFrancesca, age 81, of Fallston, Maryland, born in Cefalu, Italy to his late parents Salvatore and Giuseppa DiFrancesca, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. Beloved husband of 52 years of the late Maria R. DiFrancesca; devoted father of Josephine Curry and husband Mike, Rosemarie Frantz and husband Chris, Tina Chumley and husband Michael; loving grandfather of Nicole, Natalie & Christina Frantz, Alex & Ryan Curry, and Andrew & Nicholas Chumley; survived by his dear brother Salvatore DiFrancesca. Rosario was a skilled mason, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, wildlife/outdoors, cooking and gardening. He courageously battled kidney disease. Rosario was adored by his family and had a quick sense of humor and an infectious smile. He will be dearly missed by all.
A visitation for Rosario will take place on Sunday, July 9, 2023, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W. MacPhail Rd., Bel Air, MD 21014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023, 10:30 am., at St. Mark Church (Fallston), 2407 Laurel Brook Rd, Fallston, MD 21047. Interment Highview Memorial Gardens.
