

On October 12, 2015, Sherre Ann Taylor (nee Thornton), passed away at home after a long battle with cancer. She was 60 years old. Sherre was the beloved wife of Bill Taylor; devoted mother of Trisha Stiles and her husband Jason; loving grandmother (Mimi) of Logan Stiles; cherished daughter of Margaret Martin and the late John Thornton; dear sister of Linda Buscemi and her husband Tom, John Thornton III and his wife Elizabeth, and Bill Thornton and his wife Sandy; loving aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and other relatives. Sherre was a dedicated Elementary School Teacher and School Counselor for Harford County Public Schools for 25 years, where she mentored many people and impacted the lives of hundreds of students and families. She embraced life and loved spending time with her family; she cherished her granddaughter Logan, and was happiest with her at her side. She loved to travel; spend time at their beach home in Delaware; shop, and go to new restaurants. She always looked for new ways to experience life.
A mass to celebrate Sherre’s life will be held on Saturday, October 24th at 12 pm at St. Patrick’s Church in Havre de Grace, MD. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her honor to Catholic Charities (http://www.catholiccharities-md.org/).
