

Shirley Ann Bannon, age 63, passed away peacefully at Johns Hopkins Hospital on July 19, 2017. The second of seven children, she was born in Baltimore, Maryland on June 30, 1954. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Agnes and Thomas Kennedy, and father in law, John E. Bannon, Sr.
Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and devoted her life to helping others. For 37 years, she was employed by Amtrak. She was an active member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church and was passionate about her faith.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Michael; children Kelly and fiancé Chad Barben, Ryan and fiancé Kelly Ringer; grandson Liam; mother in law, Betty Bannon.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, July 23, from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Schimunek Funeral Home in Bel Air, Maryland and will celebrate her life at a public funeral service on Monday, July 24, at 10 am at St. Margaret's Catholic Church, 141 N Hickory Ave, Bel Air, MD 21014. Interment will take place at Highview Memorial Gardens.
