Sue Ann Rouzer

On May 18, 2026, Sue Ann Rouzer (nee Hamill) passed away at the age of 85. She was the beloved wife of the late Larry Evans Rouzer; devoted mother of Laura Rouzer Guzy and her husband Jeffrey Guzy, and Pamela Rouzer Ohle and her husband Jim Ohle; and loving grandmother of Kyle Guzy and Stephanie Guzy.

Born on March 26, 1941, Sue was preceded in death by her parents Jean L. Hamill and Harry F. Hamill and brother David C. Hamill. Raised in Baltimore, Maryland, she was a 1959 graduate of Eastern High School. After graduating high school, she attended nursing training at Union Memorial Hospital before becoming employed as an assignment clerk for C & P Telephone Company.

She married in 1966 and moved to Fallston, Maryland where she was a stay-at-home mother following the birth of her two daughters. A member of the Bel Air Methodist Church for more than 40 years, she taught Sunday school and was the director of their preschool program Tiny Tots. She also worked as a librarian for the Bel Air branch of the Harford County Library until her retirement in 2010.

Sue was an avid reader who enjoyed crossword puzzles, and watching her favorite British television shows on PBS. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children, sons-in-law, and grandchildren as well as keeping in touch with her extended family. A friend to all who knew her, she lived her life with kindness and quiet grace and will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends will gather at Schimunek Funeral Home, Inc., 610 W. Macphail Road, Bel Air, MD 21014, on Thursday May 21 2026, 3-5 pm and 7-9 PM. Interment private.
