Thomas Joseph Tognocchi, age 79, of Abingdon, Maryland passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022. Thomas was born July 14, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Joseph and Helen Tognocchi; beloved husband of 57 years to Janice A. Tognocchi (nee Kleinschmidt); devoted father of Christine Tognocchi Pons and her husband Andrew, Prudence Tognocchi Tucker and her husband Toby, Lindsay Tognocchi Purpura and her husband Christopher and the late Pamela Tognocchi Mosko and her surviving husband Michael; loving grandfather of Teddy Pons and his wife Markell, Mac and Coco Pons, Wade, Cecilia and Tommy Tucker, Billy and Helena Purpura, Andrew, Libby, Hugh, Maeve and Bliss Mosko; dear brother of Richard Tognocchi and his wife Linda and Mark Tognocchi and his wife Becky; cherished best friend and fur baby Louie Tognocchi. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
A receiving of family and friends for Thomas will be held Friday, March 25, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Schimunek Funeral Home, 610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Margaret Catholic Church, 141 Hickory Avenue, Bel Air, MD 21014.
