

Born in Baltimore, MD, on December 12, 1954, to Elizabeth and Richard Wojtek, he graduated from St. Mary’s Seminary in North East, PA in 1972. Throughout high school, he participated in the forensics program, band, choir, and stage productions, in addition to being a National Honor Society Member.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Loyola College in 1976, where he led the Accounting Club, he enjoyed an accomplished career in financial services, holding positions such as Vice President of Operations and Controller at several firms. Known as an unflagging and loyal employee, he transitioned to managing parking services for Sinai Hospital of Baltimore until his well-earned retirement in 2019.
However, family was always Tom’s top priority, and he was immensely proud of his wife, their sons, and their life accomplishments. In 1976, he married Patricia Akers, with whom he had four sons. He is survived by his sons: Christopher (Connie) Wojtek of Greensboro, NC; Timothy Wojtek of Bel Air; Robert Wojtek of Perry Hall; and Andrew (Tyler Clarey) Wojtek of New York, NY. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Peyton Wojtek and Lukas Wojtek; brother, Fr. Robert F. Wojtek, C.Ss.R.; sister-in-law, Teresa (Keith) Wolf; and four nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and parents-in-law, Antoinette and Lee O. Akers.
Throughout his life, Tom was a faithful Catholic and dedicated volunteer led by the values of compassion and mercy. For over thirty-six years, he was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, a fraternal organization that supports the Catholic Church by providing financial protection and opportunities to engage in works of charity benefiting the less fortunate. In his tenure, he led the Saint Ignatius council as Grand Knight in addition to serving as Past Faithful Navigator and Financial Secretary. From 1991 to 2001, he was an Executive Board Member and Treasurer of the Baltimore Postal Customer Council.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 16, in the historic chapel of Saint Ignatius Catholic Church, 533 E. Jarrettsville Road, Forest Hill, MD. A visitation will take place at 10:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Inurnment to follow.
