Patricia “Trish” Ann Poe (Zeller) was born on April 19, 1959 in Baltimore, MD to Charles and Betsy. Her mother eventually got remarried to Ken and they moved to “The Shore” on the eastern shore of Maryland. Trish and her whole family loved to go to “The Shore” every weekend. They’re favorite things to do were fish, crab, lay on the beach, swim, and go paddle boating. Growing up, Trish was a cheerleader and pretty much a straight A student. She graduated from Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse.

The incredibly loving and caring mother and wife is survived by her husband of 33 years, Ron, her two sons, Adam and fiancé Meagan and Eric, her daughter, Emily and boyfriend George, her sister, Steph and husband Bernie, and her brothers, Matt and wife Lori, Rich and wife Susie, and Rob and wife Michelle. She was also survived by over 20 nieces and nephews, mother-in-law, Ruth Ann, father-in-law, Ron, and brothers-in-law, Lonnie and John and wife Chelle. She was preceded in death by her parents and little sister, Sue.

Trish was a labor and delivery nurse for 36 years. She was then a hospice nurse for about 5 years. She truly loved caring for other people. She had the most calming presence. You were lucky if you had Nurse Trish taking care of you. One of her hospice patients told her once, “I thought an angel walked in the room when you walked in.” An angel did walk in. When she wasn’t caring for her patients at work, she was taking care of her husband and kids at home, who she was so proud of. She always made sure they felt loved. She supported them through everything.

Trish married Ron Poe, Jr. on June 14, 1987 at St. Anthony’s. The best day of Ron’s life. The air conditioning broke and Trish was wearing a long-sleeved dress! It was still an amazing time. They made so many incredible memories over the years and made three great kids, too. They loved going on trips to places like Cancun and Bermuda. No matter where they were or what they were doing, they were laughing and loving life together. Every day was an adventure.

There wasn’t a better woman on this earth than Trish. She’s going to live on through her kids and husband. She was also able to save a 67-year-old man’s life by giving him her liver through organ donation. She’s a living legacy. All she ever wanted to do was help other people and she still continues to do so. She was loved by countless people and will be missed so very much.
