

On August 16, 2014, Wayne Turlington Marr passed away. Wayne was the devoted son of the late Robert B. and Mary T. Marr. He was a graduate of Polytechnic High School and Johns Hopkins University. Wayne married his first wife Martha A. Brickett in 1965. He worked at U. S. Steel and then entered the U. S. Army Military Intelligence during the Vietnam War. After the Army, Wayne worked for Fawn Plastics, Co. for nearly 20 years, both in Timonium, MD, and Middlesex, North Carolina. Later Wayne demonstrated and sold pianos for Kunkel Company. He also worked with longtime friend Mike Schaeffer to create Bonner Products. There, he helped design and manufacture display cases for National Geographic. Later,afer moving to Millsboro, Delaware, Wayne became a real estate agent, sold houses, and also assisted in managing rental units at the Gull Point Community. Wayne remarried in 2005 to Gweneth R. Allen.
Wayne was the beloved husband of Gwenith R. Marr (nee Allen) of Millsboro, Delaware; devoted father of W. Eric marr and his wife Jill Shui-Mei Denyes Marr, and Ellen Allison Marr of Bel Air, Maryland; loving grandfather of Naia Sopia Marr; dear brother of the late Betty B. Marr; ex-husband of Martha B. Harris.
Relatives and friends may gather at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air 610 W. MacPhail Rd., Bel Air, MD 21014, on Tuesday 3-5 and 7-9pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesdsy at 10am at the funeral home. Interment Gardens of Faith Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Wayne's name to the Delaware Hospice Center 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 or www.delawarehospice.org.
