William Ballwanz, Jr. passed on October 12, 2026, at the age of 78, and was a resident of Abingdon, Maryland. He was the beloved husband of Linda H. Ballwanz; devoted father of Debra L. Henry and her husband Charles J. Henry, Jr.; loving grandfather of Charles J. Henry, III, and Brett J. Henry, brother of Christina Carnes, Isabel Eder and her husband Dennis Eder; also loved and survived by his nephews, cousins, and many family and friends.
Bill, a Vietnam veteran, played soccer in his younger years and made the US army team during his service. He then mastered karate, played volleyball, and racquetball. But his true love was tennis, which he played all of his adult life obtaining USTA rankings and playing wherever and whenever he could. He was known for a good laugh and many expressions, which live on today.

A Funeral Service will take place at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 11:30 am. Followed by a Committal Service at Harford Memorial Gardens, 3839 Aldino Rd, Aberdeen, MD 21001.
