Anna was born February 13, 1947 in Van Bruren, Arkansas to Odell Jackson and Ann Eunice Montgomery. Anna passed away on February 10, 2019 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri surrounded by family. Anna was the second oldest of six children in her family. Her siblings are Sylvia Yoder, Carol Sue (deceased), Michael Montgomery of Los Angeles, Gloria Long of Los Angeles, and John Montgomery of Everett Washington.
Anna is survived by her loving husband, Robert G. Berry Jr. of Belton Missouri; three loving children, Tammy Lynn Garcia, Kansas City Missouri, James Sallee Jr., Kansas City Kansas and LeAnna Branham, Raytown Missouri; nine Grandchildren, Michelle Huntington, Raytown Missouri, Michael Huntington, Kansas City Missouri, Christina Farnsworth, St. Joseph Missouri, Andrew Simmons, Raytown Missouri, Kayla Branham, Raytown Missouri, Alissa Sallee, Wilmington North Carolina, Dakota Matthew Weber, Liberty Missouri, Christian Bradley, Kansas City Kansas and twelve Great Grandchildren, Jazmin Huntington, Jade Huntington, Sophia Farnsworth, Damien Farnsworth, Samantha Farnsworth, Ayden Diamond, Ethan Diamond, Astrid Bradley, Kaylynn Huntington, C.J. Gonzales, and Caseres McDonald.
Anna worked in Nursing from 1975 to 1996. During those years she worked as an EMT, OB Tech, and a CNA. Anna was employed in those capacities at various hospitals and nursing homes in California, Oregon, Kansas and Missouri during those years.
Anna saw significant events during her lifetime. On September 29, 1978 she was a Red Cross first responder in San Diego to the crash of PSA flight 182 which killed everyone on board and 7 people on the ground. She was also a witness to the events from March of 1980 to May 18, 1980 during the eruption of Mount St. Helens in while living in Portland Oregon.
A visitation for Anna will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at McGilley & George Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 12913 Grandview Road, Grandview, MO 64030, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
