

Barbara Allen Anderson, 85, of Belton, MO, beloved mom and mema, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Beautiful Savior Nursing Home. Born on January 27, 1940, in Falmouth, KY, she was the daughter of the late Russell King and N. Kathryn Hamilton. She is survived by her daughter, Bane (Shaun) Henry, two sons, Layne (Jo Ann) Anderson and Kenne (Brandi) Anderson, and five grandchildren, Kaden and Jace Ballou, Dallas and Brody Anderson, and Kambria Anderson; two sisters Bernadine (King) Bell and Shonda (Odom) Williamson; two brothers Danny King and Jeff King; and a host of extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings: Nitro (King) Spencer, Howard “Bozy” King, Sue (King) Hensley, Phyllis Kay “PK” (King) Blades, Carmen King, and Harold “Babe” Odom.
Barb’s nurturing spirit, unwavering support, and boundless love will forever live on in the hearts of her children and grandchildren. Barb was known for her spunk, along with her warm and caring personality. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was the best mom and mema, leaving no doubt as to how much she loved her family.
Prior to her Alzheimer’s diagnosis, Barb made arrangements to donate her body to the University of Kansas Medical Center. No funeral services will be held, but a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later time. Memorials are suggested to a charity of your choice.
