Barney Cable, 67, of Belton, MO passed away March 1, 2014 at home. Visitation 5-8 pm Thursday, March 6 and Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Friday, March 7, both at St. Sabina Catholic Church, 700 Trevis, Belton. Burial in the Belton Cemetery. Contributions suggested to Autism Speaks or St. Sabina Catholic Church.
Barney was born December 11, 1946. He was a lifelong area resident and a member of St. Sabina Catholic Church. In his early years, Barney worked with his dad as a dairy farmer and was a volunteer with the Belton Fire Dept. Later, he partnered with his father at Cable Body Shop. For the past 30 years Barney has worked with Effertz Bros. Farms. He was on the board of directors of the Belton Cemetery Assoc.
