Betty Lee McCully

Betty Lee McCully, age 80, of Belton, Missouri passed away on Friday January 26, 2018 at Carnagie Village in Belton. Betty was born February 24, 1937 in Stanberry (Gentry County) Missouri to Garland and Margaret Ruth (Cain) Pierce.

A Visitation for Betty will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00pm, at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 12913 Grandview Rd. , Grandview, Missouri 64030.

Betty was a graduate of Stanberry High School and of Northwest Missouri State College. She taught French and English at Baptiste Jr High in the Hickman Mills school district. She loved being a mother, teacher, traveler and had a great appetite for books and reading.

Preceded in death by her parents Margaret Ruth and Garland Ray Pierce of Stanberry MO. Survivors include husband, Ken McCully of Belton MO; son and daughter-in-law, Brett and Kristi McCully of Lee’s Summit MO; brother, Garland Ray Pierce Jr and sister-in-law Alice Pierce of Branson MO, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Betty's memory to Gentry County Library, 304 Park St. , Stanberry, Missouri 64489 or Hall Cemetery, 502 E. 2nd St., Stanberry, Missouri 64489.
