Charles Huckins Post passed away at his Belton home on Wednesday, April 25, 2018,
surrounded by his family.
Chick was born on March 24, 1932, in Appleton, Wisconsin. He was the 3rd child born to
Joseph Kent Post and Annice Maebelle Huckins Post.
Chick entered into the United States Air Force in June of 1952 and trained as an aviation cadet
(navigator) for one year. He served stateside during the Korean War, and was discharged in
June of 1956.
Chick is survived by his wife, Madeline, of 49 years, and his 3 daughters:
Pollyana (and her husband Matt Pastor) of Aurora, Colorado;
Andrea (and her husband Don Sutcliffe) of Peculiar, Missouri, and their 6 children: Jaron,
Chara, Gabriel, Charis, Shalom, and Jonathan; as well as one great-grandson, Zane, the son of
Jaron.
Monica (and her husband Brian Phillips) of Grandview, Missouri, and their 4 children: Benaiah,
Isaiah, Edmund, and Caleb.
He is survived by his two older siblings Joe Post of Shady Cove, Oregon; and Sue Day of Cape
Cod, Massachusetts.
Memorial Services will take place Saturday May 5, 2018, at 11am, with visitation preceding at
10am. Services will be held at Word of Grace Fellowship, 11950 E State Route 350, Raytown
MO 64138. In lieu of flowers the family asks that gifts be given in honor of Chick to the church,
Word of Grace Fellowship, or City Union Mission, where he served for over 35 years.
