Clara June Pruitt

A graveside service and inurnment will be held at 11am on May 23, 2026 at Belton Cemetery.

Clara was born on November 9, 1941, in Belton, MO, to Cecil Howard Elkins and Charlotte Norene Fortner.

She was a loving and devoted sister (the oldest of 8), mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Clara cherished time spent with her family, and she found great joy in genealogy, caring for her dogs, and tending to her garden. Her warmth, strength, and deep love for those around her will be remembered always.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents; her dear husband, Larry; her sisters, Connie, Tina and Linda; and her brothers, Larry, Gary and David.

Clara is survived by her three children: Joni Hamilton (Bob), Cindy Clements (Chance), and Brett Pruitt (Holly); her five granddaughters: Jessica Brummett (Jen), Jaime Deline, Kramer Kreiling (Andrew), McKenzie Clements, and Caylie Clements; her five great-grandsons: Griffin, Oliver, Finnegan, Beck, and Cal; one soon-to-be great-granddaughter, Neve; and her beloved baby sister, Patty Munsell.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
