Dale Earl Morton, 91 passed away February 7, 2022 after a short illness (non Covid). He spent his last days reminiscing with his family about the wonderful life he lived. Dale married the love of his life Norma (Olson) October 9, 1954 and they were always together until her death on January 3, 2008. He was born and grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He had a fulfilling career in the Air Force and Air Force Reserves. He was stationed in California, Washington, Thule Greenland, Minnesota and London England. After retiring from active duty he continued working for the federal government at Richards Gebaur Air Force Base which relocated his family to Belton, Missouri in 1968.
He loved his family, attending his Granddaughter's games, woodworking, going to Starlight, listening to music, dogs, going to Branson, traveling, going to air shows and of course AIRPLANES!! His claim to fame was holding the door for Bob Hope in Thule Greenland at a USO show. Frank Sinatra was his favorite singer with "Summer Wind" being his favorite song. He also loved Tommy Dorsey and the big Bands, Jazz and Jimmy Buffett. Even in his later years he was able to continue making birdhouses and giraffes, which he really enjoyed.
He is survived by his children, Kathy Morton, Michael Morton (Shawna), Mary Sue Maher (John), Granddaughters Meghan Maher and Madison Morton, Sister In Laws Donna Olson and Shirley Olson, all the Party Animals and numerous nieces and nephews.
