Daniel Fredrick Kelly

Daniel Fredrick Kelly, “Dan” age 75, of Peculiar, MO passed peacefully on March 17, 2022. Born September 5, 1946, in Point Pleasant Beach New Jersey, he was the son of the late Gerald and Carol Kelly.

Dan, or “Danny”, graduated from Rumson-Fair Haven High School in 1965, and then moved to Ottawa, Kansas to complete his studies as a graduate from the University of Ottawa in 1969. He dedicated the first part of his career to the Belton School District as an 8th grade teacher of Earth Science, before entering the construction and building industry in several areas to later retire as a business owner of Deck Xperts, at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri.

Dan is survived by his son Chris and his daughter-in law Sarah of Raymore; daughter Kasey, Peculiar, MO; grandchildren Savannah, Tyler, Gabrielle, Kyla, Carson, Haylee, Gage, and Alaina. He is also survived by his siblings Sue, Jean, and Jerry. Dan was preceded in death by his mother and father, his beloved daughter Erin Sue Kelly, and many dear friends.

Services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 611 Chestnut, Belton, MO. Visitation will be held from 4-5pm with service to follow.
