Deanna Marie Kinney

Deanna Marie Kinney, 76, of Cleveland, MO passed away May 23, 2017. Visitation 12-2 pm, Funeral Service 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 3 at the First Baptist Church, 420 W. Main St. Cleveland, MO. Burial will be in the Belton Cemetery, Belton, Missouri.

Deanna was born April 19, 1941, in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Daughter of Albert and Anna Hockett. She married James S. Kinney Sr on Feburary 28, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri. Deanna was very active in the Cleveland, Missouri community for many years. She was an active member of the Cleveland Babtist Church for many years. She served as president/vise president of the Lions Club, served on the senior housing board, a blue bird leader for her daughters troupe, and assistant cub scout/boy scout leader for her sons.

Deanna was a dispatcher/fire fighter on the Western Cass fire protection department for many years. She worked in different occupations including carhop, hospital housekeeping, bus driver, Marion laboratories, Misson plastics, and cleaned apartments over a period of many years. Her main occupation was that of a housewife and mother.

Surviving are her husband, James Sr of Cleveland, Missouri, her brother, Albert Hockett of Dripping Springs, Texas, her sons, James Jr and wife Beth, of Drexel, Missouri, Raymond and wife Debra, of Raymore, Missouri, Robert of Kansas City, Missouri, Thomas of Leavenworth, Kansas, and her daughter Deborah Hamiltion and husband Jeff, of Shawnee Mission, Kansas. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 15 great, great grandchildren.
