

In May of 1955, Donal married his beloved wife, Emily Holloman. Together, they shared 63 wonderful years of marriage until her passing on February 8, 2020. Their love and devotion created a strong family foundation that will endure for generations.
Donal was a loving and devoted father to his three sons, Steven Hoskins, David Hoskins, and Michael Hoskins. His greatest joy was his family, which grew to include nine grandchildren (Valerie, Daniel, Steven, David, Rebecca, Christal, Andrea, Samuel, James) and twenty-four great-grandchildren (Davin, Emma, Isac, Brody, Lillian, Noah, Steven, Charles, Emilee, Jacob, Mason, Kennedy, Quinn, London, Mila, Cameron, Bronc, Ryder, Mario, Hannah, Benjamin, Lucas, Zaiden, Macklin) all of whom he cherished deeply.
A graduate of Lee’s Summit High School, Donal pursued higher education at William Jewell College, where he earned his degree. His faith guided him throughout his life, and he began his career as the pastor of Cleveland, MO Baptist Church, where he ministered with dedication and care.
Donal later embarked on a long and varied career with Kansas City Power & Light, working as a meter reader, in trouble and dispatch, and as a collector. A hardworking and determined provider, he also took on additional jobs, working in the service department at Western Auto on Antioch and later managing Broadway Lanes bowling alley from 6 p.m. until midnight on weekdays.
After retiring from KCPL at the age of 65, Donal continued to serve others, working as a maintenance man at MidAmerica Nazarene University for a year. He then used his collection and research skills in Child Support Collections for the State of Missouri before retiring fully.
Donal will be remembered for his unwavering faith, tireless work ethic, and deep love for his family. His kindness, wisdom, and integrity left a lasting impact on those who knew him, and his presence will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Donal’s life will be held at McGilley and George Funeral Home in Belton Missouri. on Feb 11th with a visitation at 10 am and service at 11am, with burial to follow at the Belton cemetery.
