Dorothy Marie Vanfossen, 73, Belton, Mo., passed away Nov. 14, 2012. Visit. 1 to 2 p.m. with funeral service following at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18 at McGilley & George Funeral Home in Belton. Dorothy was born Feb. 20, 1939, in Bucyrus, Kan., to Lawrence and Helen Siler Henry. She worked at the Jackson Courthouse. Preceded in death by son, Mark Scherette and brother, Donald Henry. Survived by husband, Joel of the home; two daughters, Sharon and Jim Spann and Diane Vanfossen of Belton; brother, Leon Henry, Florida; two sisters, Joan and Marvin Minden, Louisburg Kan., and Rosalie Vanfossen, Overland Park, Kan.; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
