Elisha Crofut Keeler of Foxwood Springs in Raymore, square dance caller, musician, dancer and florist died Monday, December 19, 2005. He was born in South Salem, New York on May 12, 1907. Elisha was recently honored by The Kansas City Ballet Company for his contributions as librettist for the Ballanchine ballet, 'Square Dance'. His unbelievable horticultural accomplishment (which received a great deal of attention) occurred in 2003 when he produced a 16-pound cabbage in his garden plot at Foxwood Springs! Elisha is survived by his wife Lois of Foxwood Springs, daughter Mollie James of Excelsior Springs, MO, son Kenneth of Oakley, CA, two grandsons, six great grandchildren, plus several nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held in the Bromwell Lounge at Foxwood Springs Living Center on January 25, 2006 at 3 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The Elisha C.
