Ethel Gladys Thomas was born October 26, 1939 to Herbert and Gladys Patterson (both deceased) in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. She married James Joseph Thomas on August 31, 1963. They had one son David and Chaun Patterson, Belton MO; one daughter Mona and JD (deceased) Stark, Adrian MO; four stepsons, Jimmy, Terry, Roger, King Thomas and one daughter Idena Thomas. She had three grandchildren, Jamie Lester (deceased); Corbin and Katie Patterson, Raymore MO, Joshua and Angel Patterson, Paola KS; five great grandchildren, Harley Lester, Krew Patterson, Jayden Patterson, Ender Patterson, Ashton Patterson; three great great grandchildren Liam Adams, Rhyder Adams and Brantley Adams. Ethel had three sisters, Frances and Frank Baker (deceased) Clara Patterson (deceased) Neva Patterson and a brother Wesley Patterson, Belton, MO Ethel worked at the Grace Company as a machine operator and also Snead’s Bar-B-Q for many years. She worked at Peterson Manufacturing for almost 20 years. Ethel was a giving person. Her favorite things to do was to be involved in her children’s family, she loved making clothes for children and she always had room for her friends. We will all miss this Angel.
