Frank Benjamin, 77, of Belton, Mo., passed away July 16, 2010, at Research Medical Center. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Belton Christian Church. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, at the church. Inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Belton Welfare for Operation Santa or the Belton Cemetery War Memorial Fund. Frank was born in Nowater, Okla., September, 22, 1932, to Charlie Benjamin and Winifred Hoffman Benjamin. He lived in Belton most of his life and was owner-operator of Benjamin Liquors for 60 years. He was a Army veteran of the Korean War; charter member of the Bel- Ray Lions Club and received the Melvin Jones Award from the Lions Club; grand marshall of the Belton Community Days Parade; president of the Belton Balene Scuba Diving Club; supported the West Central Food Pantry and was a member of Cass County Deputy Sheriff Air Wing. Frank is survived by his wife of 58 years, Wilma of the home; sons Jerry Benjamin and wife Janice of Lawrence, Kan., and Frankie Benjamin and wife Helen of Miami, Fla.; brother Charles Benjamin of St. George, Utah; four grandchildren, Frankie, Christopher, Doris and Jason, and two great grandchildren, Jordan and Cody.
