Jeannine Anna Schmidt of Belton, MO, passed away at home after a lengthy illness, Aug. 12, 2010. Jeannine was born Oct. 8, 1933, in Vereilles, France to Jean Pierre Olchowy and Agnes Kopec Olchowy. She came to the US in 1955 from France, and moved to this area in 1977. She was a member of St. Sabina's Catholic Church. After three years of college, she worked as an Oral Surgeon's assistant. Her greatest joy in life were her children and family. She was preceded in death by Karl, her husband of 48 years; her parents; and her sister, Marie-Therese. She is survived by her daughter, Ruby Schmidt; sons, Douglas and Michael Schmidt; grandson, Anthony Schmidt; all of Belton; brothers, Joseph, Stan, and Jean Pierre Olchowy; sisters, Helene and Bernadette Olchowy, all of France.
