

Larry Gardner died peacefully in Kansas City, MO at St. Luke’s Hospice House January 22, 2017 at the age of 69. He is survived by wife, Anita Gardner, Belton MO; three children, David and wife Corrine, Creighton MO, Lisa and husband Troy Tecumseh OK and Charles and wife Debby, Belton MO. He is survived by seven grandchildren, Christopher, Charity and Taylor, Creighton MO, Christopher, Tecumseh OK and Brandon and wife Amanda, Shawnee OK. He is also survived by three siblings, Wilbur Gardner, Harrisonville MO, John Gardner, Houston TX and Martha Williams, Plains MT.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Cora M. Gardner, father, Hubert L. Gardner and four siblings, Jim Gardner, Hubert Gardner, Polly Verhellen and Bonnie Jolene.
Larry was born June 20, 1947 in Kansas City MO to Cora and Hubert Gardner. He was a 21 year Army Veteran. Larry married Anita Freeman June 6, 1974. Upon retiring from the military he moved back to Missouri in 1985 and began a career at GSA as a computer programmer, where he retired after 20 years.
A Memorial Service will be held at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 611 Chestnut in Belton on Saturday, January 28 at 1:00 pm, followed by military honors.
