Verdele, Marcella and I have fond memories of our family getting together with Grandpa and Grandma Johnson in Prairie Hill, MO back in the 50's. Pete joins a host of family waiting for him in heaven. For those loved ones left behind to mourn his loss, we express our sincere condolences, love and prayers .

When I married his son, Larry Burch, he graciously took me into his family. He treated me better than any father could. He will leave a huge hole in this family and will be greatly missed by all and by myself.

Grandpa was a good, hard working man who always came home on time and kissed his wife. As a young girl I remember he would come in from work and put his things down and say; "How was your day mama?" And kissed her on the lips. I thought that it was silly that he called grandma mom. One day I asked him why? He said; "when Roxanna (my mom), Phyllis, and Larry were little I started saying it in front of them and it just stuck". I bet when he got to heaven he said; "How have you been mama" and kissed her.
