Louis Colter Wilckens, age 75, of Belton, Missouri was called home on May 8, 2015. Funeral Service, Wed., May, 13, 2015 at 11am, at The Belton Christian Church (on the corner of Airway & Westover); Visitation, Tuesday, May, 12, 6-8pm, at the church. Contributions may be made to the The Belton Christian Church or The Belton Education Foundation. Lou was born in Warrensburg, MO, to Willis and Ethel Wilckens. He was a Belton resident since 1961, and had a 39 year career teaching Science in the Belton School District. He also served as an Official at countless sporting events. Lou was very involved in his church and his community. He was a member of the Belton Sunrise Lions Club, The Belton Education Foundation, Missouri NEA, National NEA, National Science Teachers Association, Missouri High School Athletic Association Official and CMSC’s Alpha Kappa Lambda Fraternity. He was preceded in death by his parents. Lou leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Linda; 2 daughters, Laura Brown and Lisa Desjardins; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; a brother, James Wilckens.
