Mollie Wyatt, 75, Belton, Mo., passed away at Kansas City Hospice House, Aug. 28, 2011. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at the McGilley & George Belton Chapel. Mollie was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, on July 22, 1936 to Byron Evans and Mary Virginia Grund Peebles. She attended the University of Missouri Columbia and was a Gamma Phi Beta sorority member. She moved to this area in 1967. She was a homemaker, an excellent cook, salsa maker and played bridge with the Dizzy Dames Bridge Club. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Peebles. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Wyley Wyatt; sons, Mark Bailey of Kansas City, Mo., and Matthew Bailey of Sacramento, Calif.; brothers, Jack Peebles, Boston, Mass., and Richard and wife Patti Peebles of New Bern, N.C.; and one grandson, James Bailey.
