Patricia Marlene Myers, 94 of Belton, Missouri, passed away on June 17, 2026, at her home in Belton Missouri. Everyone knew her as Pat, and for her most favorite fans, “Grandma Pat.” She was born on July 8, 1931, to Alice and Ward Stanley. Pat would often tell stories of the wonderful childhood she had growing up in K.C. with her four brothers and three sisters. Her love of the outdoors, climbing trees and playing with the neighborhood kids (especially the “Windsor Wildcats”) evolved into a love of sports and school activities. She was a natural athlete, playing tennis, field hockey and more. Southeast High School recognized her as the best girl athlete during her high school days.
A cousin of Pat’s introduced her to his best friend, and the love of her life, Raymond “Ray” Myers. They were married on June 30, 1951, started their family, and moved to Raytown, where Pat provided a similar type of childhood to her kids, on 80th Terrace, which was just around the corner from her parents.
Pat and Ray built a home on acreage in Belton in 1977, where, in addition to entertaining grandchildren in the great outdoors, started Myers Furnace Company. Pat and Ray worked countless hours to build Myers Furnace, which became an important business anchor in the community of Belton, providing jobs to many people.
Pat’s love of the outdoors and her love for her grandchildren fed her dedication to mowing her lawn on her John Deere tractor. She mowed the lawn perfectly almost every week to her last few days, as if she were preparing a green carpet for her many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; the deer and other little critters that populated her beautiful space.
Grandma Pat was very proud of her 23 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. She loved making them pancakes or her famous macaroni and cheese. Those children knew that they were always loved and welcomed at Grandma Pat’s house where they would often find a freshly-baked homemade fruit pie just waiting for them to sit with Grandma to enjoy a slice.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband Ray and son Rob. Their other children, Shelly Myers, Denise Wittkopp, Cindy Myers, Julia Correales, Art Myers, many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, her brother Dan Stanley, and sister-in-law Evelyn Green, will be missing her yet telling many wonderful memories about their mother, grandmother, sister, and Aunt Pat.
