Paula lived in Belton for 30+ years. She was a life member of the Belton VFW where she worked until she retired. She had spent her life in the service industry. Paula LOVED to cook - that was her love language. After catering many events for friends and family, she parlayed this love into a catering business for years. Paula also loved to dance. Her favorite artist was Reba McEntire. She never missed a show when Reba was in town.
Paula was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Light. She is survived by her daughter DeAnna Collins (Jeff Cavenar) and her son Cyril (CJ) Bird, his wife Allison and Paula’s only grandchild, Korbin Bird.
Paula will be missed by many and for those who loved her, the loss is immeasurable.
A celebration of Paula's life will be held from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Saturday, September 27, at Belton VFW Post #8220, 144 Vivian St., Belton, MO 64012.
